The Youghal Cub and Beaver Scouts were treated to a day of festive cheer and theatrical magic as they attended The Panto at the Everyman Palace Theatre. The outing was a highlight of the Christmas season, bringing together laughter, music, and the joy of live performance for the young scouts.
The event, part of the annual activities for both the Cubs and Beavers, provided an unforgettable experience filled with colorful costumes, hilarious antics, and audience participation. For many of the children, it was their first time enjoying a live theatre performance, and The Panto delivered a show-stopping evening that had everyone cheering and laughing along. It was great to see Youghal local Graham McDermott performing.
“Our Cubs and Beavers were absolutely captivated by the performance,” said Lisa. “It’s so rewarding to see their excitement and joy during events like this. These shared experiences help build their confidence, foster friendships, and create lasting memories.”
The Youghal Scout Group is dedicated to providing a wide range of enriching activities for its members. Trips like this not only introduce children to new cultural experiences but also strengthen the bonds within the group.
The Youghal Scouts would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Joint Committee for Scouts and Guides Cork for an incredible performance and to the parents and volunteers who made the trip possible. The evening was a true celebration of the holiday season and the spirit of community.
650 beavers, cubs, scouts, ladybirds, brownies and Guides from all over cork city and county attending the performance.
Thanks to our Driver Johnny from Blackwater Cabs for smooth transportation on the day.
