Youghal, Co. Cork – The Youghal Scout Group is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of its Annual Christmas Bingo, held on Wednesday night. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the event raised vital funds to support the scout group’s activities and programs.
The highlight of the evening was a remarkable contribution from the family of Alice Mangan, who presented €400 in total, including €300 in cash donated by her granddaughters, Aisling and Fiona. These funds contributed to the following prizes:
- Single Line: €50
- Double Line: €75
- Full Panel: €300
The event also featured a fantastic raffle, made possible by the generosity of local sponsors who donated cash and prizes. Their support helped create a festive and memorable evening for all attendees.
The success of the night would not have been possible without the hard work of our dedicated volunteers and organisers. Their efforts ensured the event ran smoothly, allowing everyone to enjoy a wonderful evening filled with fun and community spirit.

Youghal Scout Group Expresses Heartfelt Thanks to the Mangan Family
The Youghal Scout Group would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the Mangan family for their generous support in funding this year’s Christmas Bingo in honur of their beloved mother, Alice Mangan.
Alice, a lifelong supporter of the Scouts in Youghal, was a cherished member of the community who held a special place in her heart for the group and its mission. A frequent bingo-goer, Alice made the annual Scout Bingo a treasured family tradition, often attending alongside three generations of her family. Her enthusiasm and love for the event embodied the spirit of togetherness and community that defines Youghal.
This year’s Bingo was made even more special thanks to the Mangan family’s generous contribution of €400, including €300 in cash prizes, which added excitement and joy to the evening. The event brought the community together, just as Alice loved, and helped raise vital funds to support the Scout Group’s activities and programs.
